You do not need a rating or league experience to get started. Contact us before coming along so we can help you plan your first session and answer questions about joining.

Whether you want to play socially or work towards competition, there is a place to start.
What to bring
Wear comfortable sports clothing and indoor sports shoes, and bring water. Bring your bat if you have one. If you need equipment, contact us before your visit to check what is available.

Questions from new players
Can I join Nexus if I have never played table tennis?
Yes. Beginners are welcome at Nexus, and you do not need a rating or competitive experience. Contact us to plan your first visit and ask about beginner coaching.
Where can I play table tennis in Cape Town?
Nexus Table Tennis Club trains at Rylands Civic Centre, 995 Balu Parker Boulevard, Rylands, Cape Town. We welcome beginners, returning players and experienced players.
When are the training sessions?
Training is on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7 pm to 11 pm at Rylands Civic Centre. Contact us before your first visit to arrange a suitable time.
Do I need my own table tennis bat?
Bring your bat if you have one. If you need equipment, contact us before visiting to check availability. Wear comfortable sports clothing and indoor sports shoes, and bring water.
How do I join, and what does it cost?
